mBiotics is developing a simple, low-cost, and user-friendly platform technology based on magnetic levitation for cell-based medical diagnostics. This technology will serve as an on-site alternative to current complex testing methods performed in remote testing labs which can take up to 3 days to return the results. By offering important diagnostic information not previously available on-site, this device can better inform medical decisions in clinical settings, make medical diagnostics more accessible in developing countries, and enable monitoring of medical conditions at home.

MedImaging is a research group developing innovative imaging systems based on near-infrared light for clinical applications. MedImaging group is doing research and making progress toward miniaturization of this technology to be used as a diagnostic imaging device for breast cancer detection.

MediSense Technology, LLC. is researching and developing a diabetes monitoring device which will allow individuals living with diabetes a painless alternative to the traditional finger prick method for diabetes monitoring. By using specialized manufacturing techniques, MediSense Technology, LLC. is developing a device which can be used to analyze the breath of diabetics and identify chemicals in the breath which are related to variations in blood glucose levels. This breath analyzer device will allow for an immediate, accurate, and noninvasive method for diabetes monitoring.
